Company billboards in their recognisable, familiar, comfortable style exposing the dark side, similar to Adbusters style. Supports essay by playing in to the ignorant consumer gaze of looking at non distressing ads, tricked in to looking at a brand ad then being shocked company controversies.

Tax avoidance companies- with the current situation of the economy being so tight, the drastic truth of huge companies avoiding paying tax is shocking, even some celebrities

L'Oreal, one of the hugest beauty brands on the planet, are still testing on animals despite all the modern day alternatives. Many of its consumers may not be aware of this and or ignore due to vanity, quite shocking to say the least. A campaign aimed towards this would be shocking enough to support my essay as brands you would expect to be aware and act, such as loreal, don't.

Legal highs- although now banned from being sold, seen in my hometown of Manchester, their extreme effects have had devastating affects on users such as long lasting mental health issues, death and addiction. Although they are now illegal, people may still be buying them as a cheap alternative, be unaware they are still as dangerous, or those who buy illegal drugs and get something they dont expect often due to mixing with these dangerous unknown compounds. Naivety of teenagers is dangerous and they are still at risk of these devastating aftermaths. Flyers and information seen in doctors and hospitals are very low shock approaches, however I think ads like these need to be on the streets as they are not taken notice of before it is too late.
